Profile | Quratulain K.

Quratulain Khalid, born and raised in Karachi - Pakistan, graduated from DHA Degree College for Women majoring in Fine Arts & English Literature in the year 2005. Deciding to keep her love for art to her self, she joined a multinational bank in 2006.

Having enjoyed the corporate financial world for a good five years and becoming restless at the same time to get her hands back in the art world, she decided to join the PGD Photography program offered at Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture in 2010.

The world of photography opened a whole new dimension and offered great opportunities to experiment with as a visual artist. In Pakistan, where the photography world was growing with rapid speed, Quratulain decided to leave the banking world for good in 2011 and initiated her career as a photographer with 18% grey in July 2011.

Quratulain's favorite subjects to photograph are people in their own environments. She feel's her most strongest skill throughout her life has been her ability to communicate with people from any kind of a background. She applies the same rule to her photography as well. Some of her photojournalistic work has been featured by CNN, The Australian Gourmet Traveller and locally by The Express Tribune.
